In 2013 her first solo project, “the Prelude EP” was released to critical acclaim, and has landed the ViolinDiva a coveted spot next to Melanie Fiona, Angie Stone, and others under the Artists Against AIDS project, to be released in 2014 fighting the spread of AIDS in Black America. Ever Since winning the grand prize of the West Oak Lane Jazz Festival Competition in Philly 2011, Charisa has developed strong ties to the Philly community and loves performing for this crowd.
