My co-producer, tap dancer Maurice Chestnut are presenting a concert where a BIPOC chamber orchestra performs classical standards, popular tunes, as narrated by a rapper, who will 'host' the concert, and along with special invited guests - including singers, a tap dancer, and other surprises. It's been our longstanding dream - to make classical music and its stories relevant to our community, and to connect to the music of our time through common stories and themes. This concert will feature special orchestral arrangements of Earth Wind and Fire, the "Black Mozart" Chevalier Saint Georges, a jazz tribute to Ella and Sarah Vaughn, and hip hop and house to dance on out to!
